Vinicni Altan

Vinicni Altan is not a place known for their beer, but rather another valuable part of Czech culture. At Vinicni Altan, you can try some of the Czech Republic’s best wines from all over the country. They even serve wine grown and harvested from their very own vineyard, (which you will see), plus they have a large selection of wines from other countries. While enjoying your wine, you’ll also have one of Prague’s best views.

Vinicni Altan is a gorgeous, wooden building with a huge terrace carved on top of a small hill of grapevines, overlooking the park Havlickovy sady and the southern part of the city. Quite often they have a special wine for a bargain price, and they also serve snacks, salads, and other simple food at a decent price. And if you still would like a beer, they also serve Prague’s own favorite beer Staropramen Lezak on tap. Consider making reservations if you are planning on visiting during the evening in nice weather, as this place fills up quickly.
