Mood

As the burger trend enveloping Prague continues to grow and bring more authentic burgers to our tables, Mood is exactly that- one of the most authentic restaurants to visit for a real American burger. Located on Žižkov's dusty Koněvova street, Mood is a real taste from across the Atlantic with Pilsner Urquell on tap.

The smaller menu (which we consider a welcome thing) includes burgers, pasta, meats, and a variety of appetizers, seafood, salads, and grilled meat. The burgers are juicy and tender, buns soft, and the toppings fresh. Service is extremely friendly and the staff comfortably bilingual. During lunch time, they have daily specials.

Dimly lit, the atmosphere at Mood is contemporary and upbeat. Decorated with bright colors, ultra modern furniture, and pictures of happy smiling people, Mood certainly does its best to create an energetic, fresh atmosphere and is completely non-smoking. Behind the restaurant, there is an outdoor deck area, with access to the bike path that runs below Vítkov hill, making it a great place to stop after roller-blading or cycling.

Moody’s menu is more pricey, but not out of line with other burger restaurants in Prague. Frequented by a younger crowd of expats and curious Czechs, in general Mood is a spacious enough restaurant that finding a table any time isn’t a problem.

In our opinion, the main reason to visit Mood is their burgers- which are fantastic, and arguably some of the best in Prague. Disappointingly, their beer doesn’t match the quality of their cuisine. With only rather not fresh Pilsner on tap, burgers are what bring people to Mood, not beer. Take bus 133 or 207 to Tachovské Náměstí.
