Another one of Kocour’s successful and innovative ventures into guest brewing, the recipe for Quarterback was developed by Yuseff Cherney from the Ballast Point Brewery in San Diego. With a solid and heavy body, this double IPA has a dynamic balance of flavor and bitterness. The Quarterback has a thick, almost syrupy texture with a rich taste of fermented fruits, followed by a hint of orange. Beginning with a potent aroma of hops, this honey colored ale ends with an intense bitterness. This is a quite special recipe too- using Pilsner malts, 7 types of hops, and brewer’s yeast, Kocour has made something legendary.
