Velryba
Having a fish theme to their decor, this restaurant/pub/cafe/art gallery has a diverse menu and has some great beer on tap from Zatec Brewery, which is from a region famous for hops, north-west of Prague. Their menu is vegetarian friendly, has tofu dishes, as well as some Mexican and Thai inspired dishes, while still keeping some more Czech traditional meals.
On tap, they’ve got two fantastic lagers from the little town of Zatec- an 11° and an unfiltered 12° ‘kvasnicovy’. If you’re in the mood for a dark beer, they have an excellent bottled dark beer from Zatec as well. After your beers, venture downstairs to their art gallery, which exhibits some talented artists, and is free. Velryba is a more alternative place and is very popular among students and expats who are living in Prague. A great place, in the center of Prague, that offers diversity and fantastic beer.
