U Fleku
U Fleku, perhaps Prague’s most famous mini-brewery, restaurant, and beer hall, is located in a few hundred meters from the national theatre on Kremencova street. U Fleku, which was founded as early as 1499, is a noisy place with traditional Czech music, and traditional Czech service; that is, men serve you frothy mugs of beer and shots of Becherovka without asking. But remember, these are not free…and as U Fleku is well know among all tourists in Prague, they are not cheap.
U Fleku has a traditional Czech menu, serving roasted chicken, typical Czech sauces and a variety of dumplings. The food is good, and the prices are high. This bustling place has many different rooms, and in the middle of all this, there is also a beer garden for warmer days. Even if this restaurant is not what it once was and very touristy, it is worth a visit at least once, because their dark beer has a unique taste.
