Pivovarský Dům

This restaurant and brewery, located on the corner of Lipova and Jecna street, is operated by the same people as Pivovarský Klub in Karlin. The restaurant has a classy traditional Czech interior, and many tables… but this place is very popular among Czechs and tourists alike, so making a reservation is recommended.

Pivovarský Dum offers traditional Czech cuisine, and a large variety of beers. If you like fruity or herbal beer, this is a good place to visit. They always have on tap banana, coffee, cherry, nettle, and wheat beer, plus their more normal unfiltered/unpasterized pale and dark lager. They also have a beer of the month special. If you feel like having a really good time, you can order a “Giraffe” beer, which is a self service beer tap at your table. Or, if you’re just in the mood to taste a few unique beers, you can also order small samples of each beer. On the negative side, this place is more pricey than the Karlin location.
