Pivovar u Bulovky
This famous Czech pub is almost always full, as it’s popular among tourists and locals alike. Bustling and noisy, like a traditional Czech pub should be, U Bulovky has a very unique atmosphere which is hard to find nowadays. U Bulovky serves a variety of Richter beers, which are brewed right before your eyes. The beer is excellent- always fresh tasting and rich, each beer has its own unique taste. They change which beers are currently being offered, so you can always try something new. This pub also serves great food- some typical Czech dishes, as well as Continental European cuisine.
The prices are a bit higher than your average pub, but it’s well worth it. The portions are huge, and the food is top quality. As already mentioned, consider making a reservation before venturing out to Liben since it’s not close to the center. And don’t forget, the pub is closed on Sundays. Take trams 10,24, and 25 to tram stop ‘Bulovka’.

Visited the Bulovky in early May 2009 and was hugely impressed with the beers, especially the Polotmave and a couple of unusually strong ones. Nice little place - service polite rather than friendly.
