Ferdinanda

Neighborhood: Nove Mesto

Brewery: Ferdinand

Ferdinand is a microbrewery based in Benesov, and they have 2 restaurants/pubs here in Prague, which are both called Ferdinanda. The largest, and original restaurant is located off of Vaclavske Namesti, close to Museum on Opletalova Street, and the other in Mala Strana, close to tram stop Helicova. This restaurant has a garden theme, and it doesn’t have the typical dark smoky Czech pub feeling, as the interior is bright and modern. At any given time, you’ll find this crowd a good mix of young adults and a few tourist. Ferdinanda is more famous for their dark lager, and they also have at least two light beers on tap. If you’re hungry, this place has good food as well- their goulash is quite possibly one of the best in Prague and you get a free small pivo (beer) with it as well. They also offer a great lunch menu, Monday-Friday. They have got a non-smoking section, as well as a smoker friendly part. They also have a large projector screen, which popular sport events are shown on, and WiFi. Ferdinanda is very popular, so consider making reservations. You can also find Ferdinand beer available on tap in some other pubs throughout the city.

the food is quite decent as well - reminds me a bit of homemade food - the guláš & beer for 89 CzK is quite unbeatable. No high end but real food served and the beer is just right to go along with
