With an orangish, light amber color, and a sweet aroma of hops and fresh strawberry jam, this beer from Matuska brewery in Broumy is one of the best examples of the innovative beers currently being produced in the Czech Republic. What’s most enjoyable about this beer is the depth to which you experience all the different aromas and flavors. In the beginning, there is an intense bitter taste of hops, which fades into a body blended with flavors of citrus and tropical fruits, into wholesome, solid roasted malt, finishing with an aftertaste of burnt caramel. Using three varieties of hops, (Columbus, Citra, and Amarillo), as well as Czech Plzen and Karapils malt, this is one top fermented first class rocket. Zlatá Raketa is an India Pale Ale, American Style.
